Intro

Here’s how we (aka Intro) treat your (aka User) data:

Location

Intro does collect and store User’s location safely on our servers. User’s location is part of app functionality and is used to assess distances between Intro’s users in order to adhere to User’s distance filter. For example, User and a nearby profile will both see that they are 7 miles away from each other when observing each other’s profile. User’s location data is retained while their profile is active, aka while Pause is disabled. User may opt out of sharing their location by enabling Pause on their profile in the settings tab (the Gear icon at the bottom).

Personal Information

Intro does not collect or store usernames or passwords from any of its Users. Additionally, Intro does not sell or spread any information provided by its Users. Any personal information provided by the User within their profile should be treated as public information and shared with other Users. Intro encourages Users to only share information that they are comfortable sharing.

Contact Information

Intro only collects and stores contact information that is provided by the user in Contact Info messages. Contact information is stored safely on our servers and never shared with anyone else outside of Intro. User may remove any contact information they provide by unmatching or reporting the User’s match that the User sent contact information to.

Identity

Intro does not require Users to provide details concerning their identity including race, gender, and sexual orientation. Intro provides several options for Users to disclose their identity, and any details provided by Users about their identity is safely stored on our servers and not shared with anyone outside of Intro. User’s identity is provided to other users when reviewing User’s profile. User should only share what they are comfortable sharing and treat anything they share as public information. User identity data is retained while profile is active, and User may revoke identity data by removing it from their profile in the settings tab (the Gear icon at the bottom).

Account Deletion

Users may delete their account by tapping "Delete my account" in the settings tab and confirming. After confirming, the User’s profile fields, photos, likes, matches, and messages will be deleted. Intro will redirect User to a lock screen preventing access to the app, however tapping "Recreate Account" on the lock screen twice will create a blank account and return User access to Intro. It may take up to 30 days for User’s data to be completely erased.
